Historic

An historic community, the Hereford Lighthouse, shown below, was built in 1874 in North Wildwood, in Victorian fashion. The lighthouse is in the dune area of the inlet, and was restored in 1982 (after being closed by the Coast Guard in 1964). The lighthouse is within walking distance of The Sandpiper Motel.
